Dance with Me!
I could never write poetry. Never learned to write poetry and was never interested in writing poetry until one day the Lord tapped me to begin to write poetry for Him.
It was His gift to me to give to others to enjoy and to draw close to Him. When I began to write, the poetic expressions burst forth as you will read one of the prophetic poems below. This is what was downloaded to me while I was listening to a piece of music called, “Tenderly.” Jesus said to me…..
“Come,
dance with me,”
says
the Lord.
Take my hand
and
listen to the
angel’s band.
Call the singers,
and
other
minstrels as well.
The
heavenly melody
is
harmonious and sweet,
and
they play to treat.
Come,
my child,
and
dance
to be free,
away from
yourself,
and
partake of me.
Come angels
and
rest of heaven’s host,
and
let us
make a toast.
Come, I say,
and
dance with me.
Kick
off your shoes,
and
dance to the joy
of
knowing me.
If
you only knew,
how I much
I really care
for you.
There
is
special music
just written
for you.
So come,
partner with me,
and
let us listen,
sing, and
dance
to
My melody.
Leave
your cares
and
worries
behind,
and
enter
the music
I designed
for you.
Yes,
I say
lose yourself
in the
heavenly melody
I have
prepared for you.
Don’t you
know that all eternity
sings and dances
to the
Melody, Harmony,
and
Rhythm
of the
Trinity.
Open
your ears to hear,
I say
open your ears
to hear the sweetness
of
heaven’s music.
Yes,
enter your battles
with
dancing
and
singing unto
Me.
The way
is
prepared,
the path established,
and
the road planned.
Now
dance with me
and
you will see
and
be given glimpses
of eternity.
I call you
to
dance with me
and
take my hand.
Step to the music,
listen to
My melody.
Oh,
my son,
My melody
is so
sweet to hear –
a melody
birthed
just for you.
So,
I call all of heaven
to
celebrate with dancing
and
singing
and
rejoicing
for all who
are summoned
to come.
Oh,
hear the music
of the heavens,
look and see,
for all the
host of heaven’s scene
delight and rejoice
in
soul’s entering
into eternity.
All who come,
become
free when
they dance
with me.
The flow ended here.
David was a dancer before the Lord for it brought Him release and freedom from the hardships of life and his difficulties of leading God’s people. When he threw off his mourning then the Lord girded Him with gladness and joy and he responded with dancing before the Lord. And the Lord approved.
He would say to the Lord:
You have turned
my mourning
into dancing for me;
You have put off my sackcloth
and
girded me with gladness,
Psalm 30:11 (AMP)
On another occasion, David danced before the Ark of the Lord in the presence of Israel and Michal, David’s wife who disapproved of David’s leaping and dancing before the Lord. His actions of dancing moved her to despise him her heart. Sanuel records:
And
(David)
danced before the Lord with all his might,
clad in a linen ephod
[a priest’s upper garment].
So
David
and
all the house of Israel
brought up the ark of the Lord
with shouting
and
with the sound of the trumpet.
As the ark of the Lord
came into the
City of David,
Michal, Saul’s daughter
[David’s wife],
looked out of the window
and
saw
King David leaping
and
dancing before the Lord,
and
she despised him in her heart.
2 Samuel 6:14–22 (AMP)
David said to Michal,
it was before the Lord,
Who chose me above your father
and
all his house to appoint
me as prince over Israel,
the people of the Lord.
Therefore will I make merry
[in pure enjoyment]
before the Lord.
I believe the Lord enjoyed David dancing and making merry for the Ark of the Lord was brought into the City of David where it needed to be for the people to see the Lord’s presence represented by the Ark in their midst.
It did not turn out well for Micah’s bitter and hard-hearted actions toward David’s dancing and making merry before the Ark of the Lord. We learn in 2nd Samuel 6:23 (NLT) that she was barren of child or “childless throughout her entire life.”
Perhaps a just punishment from the Lord for her attack on God’s anointed authority. If God approved of David dancing and even today when God’s people dance before Him in the Spirit and are Spirit led, we need to be careful of judging from what we have learned here about Micah’s actions.

Again, thank you for your words.
I would like it if the Holy Spirit would guide mine.
Thank you for your flow of words.
I have never put the two together, the two words, poetry and words.
Such distant thoughts in present time. Poetry, from an other age, awkward words that stem and flow to
now, words active and alive, to bring breth to thought.
