“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27 ESV
It is the tender touch of the Spirit which fills us with a faith that walks in the Light of Truth and rests in the peace of Christ.
Peace from above transcends all understanding because it is derived from Him Who made everything. God's peace brings forth a fresh touch upon the soul. It is the tender touch of the Spirit which fills us with a faith that walks in the Light of Truth and rests in the peace of Christ.
We are commanded not to be troubled or afraid. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 ESV). God is the Great I AM (Exodus 3:14). He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the First and the Last. He is the Beginning and the End (Revelation 22:13).
In the I AM consists all that pertains to Truth, Life, and Holiness. He Himself is self-sufficient and self-existent. He contends with no one, and no plan of His can be prevented. ““I know that You can do all things, and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted”” (Job 42:2 ESV).
God is so infinitely above all that we can comprehend. Yet, at the same time, He dwells within those of a broken spirit and a contrite heart.
There is none who can stand in opposition and destroy God. For God is Atemporal and Incorporeal. He is not bound by time or space, for He is Eternal and Transcendent. He has existed forever, and He will forever remain existing outside and beyond all. For He is Immortal and dwells within the Heavens of heavens, and therefore cannot be grasped, conquered, or killed. God is so infinitely above all that we can comprehend. Yet, at the same time, He dwells within those of a broken spirit and a contrite heart (Isaiah 57:15).
From God we are blessed with salvation of the soul and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.
It is from Thee Omnipotent, Sovereign God that we put our trust and hope. From Him we are blessed with salvation of the soul and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. It is our Heavenly Father Who has truly given us all things through Christ. He has given us a promised Eternal Home. He has given us Wisdom from On High. He has shown us what true Love is and continues to work it in and through us. It is our Heavenly Father alone Who bestows peace upon our soul.
We as believers are simply existing through time and preparing for Eternity.
We must come to the realization that we are not meant for this earth. We are simply existing through time and preparing for Eternity. Why then must we worry or fear? Why must we become perturbed with the circumstances of our day? Did not Christ say ““that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world”” (John 16:33 ESV)?
As persecution and suffering comes, may it have its way with us! As tribulation and adversity pummels us from every side, may we praise God! For ““Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on My account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you”” (Matthew 5:10-12 ESV).
The Infinite God of the Heavens looks down and sees all, knows all, and rules all. We must not allow temporal circumstances to dictate our faith, for ALMIGHTY GOD IS WITH US!
We are saints who walk in the light of Truth. We are guided by God’s Word and led by His Holy Spirit. The Infinite God of the Heavens looks down and sees all, knows all, and rules all. We must not allow temporal circumstances to dictate our faith, for ALMIGHTY GOD IS WITH US! ““Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you”” (Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV).
May the Light of Truth fall upon our souls, touch our hearts, and infiltrate our minds.
O that the Light of Truth would fall upon our souls, touch our hearts, and infiltrate our minds. That we would be blessed to see that we are nothing before the God of all; and yet, we are blessed to be one of His. He calls all and loves all, and if we accept His most gracious gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, we shall be saved. O that we might understand the mighty power of God. “ For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things” (Romans 11:36 ESV).
We need to not allow ourselves to be ruled by our senses, but rather by the Spirit. For it is here where we are stilled by a confident Peace.
We worship the Triune God Who protects us along this journey of life. No matter what is to occur, we have received Peace from above. We have Peace Himself living within us. We need to not allow ourselves to be ruled by our senses, but rather by the Spirit. For it is here where we are stilled by a confident Peace. Knowing this, therefore, we should open our spiritual eyes and see that God exists both outside us and lives within us! We must not fear or be discouraged. The victory has already been won!
One day we will feel Christ's eternal presence in perfect purity; free from temptations, distractions, and sin.
Our hope resides in Christ, and Christ resides within the Heavens. One day a new heaven and a new earth will be made. Our destined dwelling place will be forever in the presence of Christ. We will feel His eternal presence purely and without temptations, distractions, or sin. For the day is coming when all wickedness, sinfulness, vileness, deception, evil, and those who are unrepentant will be cast into the Lake of Fire. They will be no more in the presence of us and in the recollection of our minds, for the Holy Judge will give the Final Word. Those who rejected Christ and desired to live in their sin and iniquity shall endure eternal torment throughout all eternity.
Let us then not be so downcast when evil occurs. May we possess a righteous anger and a sorrowful heart for those who are lost, but may we not lose heart when we are scoffed at, mocked at, and hated. May we not be scared when rights might be taken away from us and we lose friends. For one day we shall rule with Christ. “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him” (Romans 8:16-17 ESV).
The road to glory is through suffering.
The road to glory is through suffering. Within our suffering, however, we are holy citizens who are blessed with a peace that the world knows not. We have access into the Eternal Fountain of Him Whose ways are unsearchable. Out of Him flow that which is Good, Pure, Perfect, and peaceable, for He is God. Everything that is derived from His Being is that which our soul seeks. For being made in His image, our soul longs for that place of rest. Only in Christ shall we have it.
““and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”” Matthew 28:20 NKJV
Always remember that “after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, Who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you” (1 Peter 5:10 ESV). Never forget that “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV). Let us live in the peace of Christ’s words: ““and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age”” (Matthew 28:20 NKJV).
May the Peace from above rule our hearts, souls, and minds. May “the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all” (2 Thessalonians 3:16 ESV).
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, You are the God Who can be truly known, but will forever be fully unknown. In You is Life and Abundance. You are the God of Truth and You do not change. You are the God of the Holy Trinity. You are the God of Love and Justice. None is like You, O God. Grow us in Who You are. Deepen our understanding of Your power, Your glory, Your goodness, and Your holiness! Shine the Light of Truth upon our soul and enlighten our minds to receive deeper revelations of Who You are and what You have done. O God, may we not be bound by the temporal, fading things of this life. May we look to the Heavens and see that You await us there. A place free of suffering, pain, persecution, sin, evil, and strife. O what a glorious day it shall be, when we sing and dance and worship You. Lord, we know that no eye has seen nor ear has heard what You have planned for those who love You. God, help us to look within and look towards You when we are uneasy and not at rest. May Your Word soar upon our soul and heart. May the gentle wind of its Truth give us rest and peace. May we always be reminded that You are in control and You work all things together for good. May Your Peace from above flood our vessels. May Your Breath of Life fill us once again with strength, excitement, and peace to press on and finish the race before us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
