Touch Me, O Lord!

While sitting in church a few Sundays ago and during the time of worship, I felt my spirit rise within me by the prompting of the Holy Spirit to pray the following prophetic prayer for myself as well as for others which I wish to share with you so you can make it your prayer.

I quickly got out my pen and tablet and wrote down what I was receiving.  I finished writing, laid this prayer aside, and thanked the Lord. 

At the end of the service, the Pastor called up those who wished to have prayer and during His praying for them, the music group standing on the stage begin to sing “He Touched Me.” 

What a confirmation to what the Holy Spirit was speaking to me by aligning Himself with my spirit and causing my mind and heart to receive from the spiritual realm inspired words of this prayer.

While I was recording this prayer, the Lord brought to my mind the Bible Verses Psalm 42:1-2 and Psalm 43:3 which I have always memorized and say to Him every day.  But here is the heaven sent prayer downloaded to me.

O’ Lord,

touch me with Your

 mighty hand.

Touch my ears to hear

Your voice when

You speak.

Touch my eyes to see

 what

You see.

Touch my mouth and lips

 to speak

 Your Word with

 authority

and

 by the anointing

 on Your Words.

Touch my feet to go

to the places You want

 me to go to

and

share Your Word.

Touch my hands

with the power

 of the Holy Spirit

to act as a conduit

 to bring healing

 to the sick and diseased.

Touch my heart

and

 break it of sin and darkness –

cleanse and purify it

so it will please You

 in what You have

 called me to say and do.

Father,

 I need Your touch

 every hour of every day.

How can I walk

in the Spirit

without the touch 

of the Holy Spirit?

How can I pray

without the touch

and

influence

 of the Holy Spirit?

How can I go

 without the

 touch of Jesus?

How can I go

 without first being

in your presence,

being on my knees

 with praise

and

adoration of You

 and

 receiving instruction

 from You?

O’ Lord

 my heart cries

 out for Your touch –

Your affirmations –

Your leadings –

Your revelations.

Like David said

 and

I say to you:

“As the deer pants for the water brooks,

so my soul pants for You,

O God.

My soul thirsts for God,

for the living God;

When shall I come

and

appear before God.

          O send out Your light and Your truth,

         let them lead me;

                       let them bring me to Your holy hill

                                               and

                              to Your dwelling places.”

I pray that my thirst

for You and Your kingdom

will invite You to continuously

touch my whole being.

As You touch me,

teach me to carry Your

 touch to others for others

need Your touch of

grace, mercy,

 and

 salvation.

There are many who

 are walking in

 utter darkness

 who need

Your divine touch

which often comes to

 those from Whom

You have touched.

Allow me

to take your touch

 to those who are hurting –

 those who are down and out –

 those who are crushed and broken –

those whose lives

are being destroyed

by the world and Satan.

Only Your

 touch of grace

on their lives will bring

 them into your Kingdom

 through Christ

 who provided

 a way for them to

come to You. 

Thank you Lord

 for your daily

touch of

 Grace and Power

 on me to take

and

impart to those

who you lead me to.

Note:

When individuals in the New Testament saw Christ, they went to Him and wanted to touch Him for they knew they would be healed, cured, or delivered from such things as their affliction, blindness, lameness, deafness, sin, sickness, and disease.  Luke records: 

And all the people

were trying to

touch Him,

for

 power was coming

from Him and healing them all.

(Luke 6:19, NASB95)

As I read this Scripture, I said to myself, I want to continually reach out and touch Christ as I call on Him to reach down and touch me.  For as I reach out to Him and He reaches down to me, then His power can flow to me which comes through His cross and my embracing His cross. 

This is the only way I can fulfilling my calling to do His work in supernatural ways by His imparted extravagant grace, love, and mercy to take to the hurting, despised, poor, confused, deceived, homeless, destitute, and lonely. 

Only then when I meet Him face to face He can say,

Welcome, my servant,

I want you to know how much

I have loved you while you walked with Me

in loving and serving those

I brought to you to give to them

what I gave to you during your earthly journey.

Your mission on earth is now complete

 but there is much more

to be accomplished

as I am preparing along with the

 host of heaven to return to planet earth

and

set up My Kingdom

which My Father has given to Me.

Now enter in and enjoy

what has been prepared for you

 for I have much to tell you along

with many others who are waiting

to also welcome you.

 The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

 is about to be served.

So,

come and sit down with Me

and

others and enjoy what I am

about to serve.
