Two Types of Washing Machines!

When I was growing up, my mother would wash clothes in a washing machine that had four legs, an agitator in a big tub, and an attached hand cranked ringer where she would put the clothes through after rinsing them in a separate tub.   

Then she would hang the clothes out on the clothesline to dry.

They had not invented dryers at that time.  After the clothes dried, my mother would take the clothes and iron (not electric) them on the ironing board. After folding them, she would put them away.  

This will sound strange to you but while in worship one Sunday morning, the Lord gave me this picture as I described above.  Then I heard Him say,

“There are two types of washing machines –

the

“World Washing Machine” 

and the 

“Holy Spirit Washing Machine.”

Then, this came to my mind - The “World Washing Machine” will draw you in and agitates you with no cleansing or redeeming agent. 

 It is not interested in making you clean and pure.  It wants to taint you and make you unclean with its humanistic philosophy (without the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob). 

It puts you through the ringer of evil and unrighteousness and attempts to squeeze life out of you.  It then hangs you out to dry in the harsh, critical, and dry winds of selfishness, lies, hate, and propaganda of the world.

Then it lays you down on the ironing board of life and presses into you its fears, confusions, tensions, sicknesses, and pressures of its ways and flattens you into its mold.  It uses you to accomplish its ways – the ways of the flesh, the temptations of the world, and the ways of the enemies of Christ and His cross.

This is the “World Washing Machine.”

 Then the Lord said to me….

 But I have the

“Holy Spirit Washing Machine.”

He draws you to My Son

 and

 will agitate you

 in My Son for His blood

 is the cleansing agent that washes

 you clean making you whiter than snow

 while at the same time refreshing

 and

restoring you to a position of

being blamelessly before me.

My Holy Spirit will agitate you

in His gifts

 and

put you through His spiritual ringer

 to test you and conform you

to My ways I have

  called you to walk in.

My Holy Spirit is gentle

and

He will blow on you to dry you

 in the things of the My Kingdom

 so you can be useful

and

bear His fruit.

He will press you into

 spiritual work

and

 accompany you wherever

He takes you. 

He is your friend and support

 and

will build you up to be

mighty in the things

 I have for you to

 accomplish for Me.

This is the “Holy Spirit Washing Machine."

His flow stopped here.

There is one thing we need to observe in these wicked and turbulent times we are living in and that is to “hold fast” ...... allow me to say it again ...."hold fast" to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

This means to cling, cleave, pursue, to be joined to, follow hard after, stick with, or follow closely.  Scripture says:

according to Scripture can be defined as:

 holding fast

to Him.

(Deuteronomy 11:22; 30:20)

.....holding fast

 to Him

and

serving Him 

with all your heart

 and

with all your soul.

(Joshua 22:5)

...... holding fast to

 His word.

(1 Corinthians 15:2);

......holding fast

His covenant.

(Isaiah 56:4);

…..holding fast to

your integrity.

(Job 2:3, 9)

…..holding fast to

your righteousness.

(Job 27:6)

…..holding fast to

the head (Christ).

(Colossians 2:19)

….. holding fast to

what is good.

(1 Thessalonians 5:21)

….. holding fast to the

faithful word.

(Titus 1:9)

….holding fast to

 our confidence and hope.

(Hebrews 3:6)

…..holding fast

 the beginning of our assurance 

firm until the end.

(Hebrews 3:14)

….. holding fast

our confession.

(Hebrews 4:14)

….. holding fast the

confession of our hope

 without wavering.

(Hebrews 10:23) 

….. holding fast

Christ’s name and not deny the faith.

(Revelation 2:13)

….. holding fast

until Christ’s comes.

(Revelation 2:25)

…..holding fast

what you have 

so that no one will take your crown.

(Revelation 3:11)

Holding fast is paying close attention to the Lord and the things of the Lord so we will not drift away from Him (Hebrews 2:1) or develop a hard or unbelieving heart resulting in spiritual loss which Christ and Apostle Paul say that many will fall away in the end times which we are not living in.

We only continue in partaking of Christ if we hold fast to Him (Hebrews 3:14), listen to Him, obey Him, fear Him, and allow our hearts to burn for and after Him.

    The times we are now living in will challenge and test our grip on the Master (Christ Jesus-Our Savior and Lord).

Brother or sister, let me ask you this question: “Are you holding fast?” Are you making Him #1 in your lifestyle or are you compromising your hold on Him by holding on to some of the things in the world and the ways of the world?

Are you getting in the world's washing machine of humanism and allowing it to agitate you in its pleasures, materialism, self-seeking, busyness, deception, wealth, and in religious unsound doctrine contrary to the Word of God?

Is He asking you to let go of those things you may be hiding from Him in your heart which interfere with His walk with you causing you to stumble in spiritual life? Are you growing cold to Bible reading, studying the Word, loving others less because you have some issues with brothers and sisters in the Lord?

Are you playing a religious game game of pretending everything is OK between you and the Lord when it isn't? Has your worship lost the passion and fire absent in your heart becoming routine and just going through the motions? Are you losing your grip on spiritual things and not holding fast His call on your life, His Word, His ways, His hope, His righteousness, and His love?

If these things speak to you, perhaps you need to get in “The Holy Spirit Washing Machine” and allow Him to agitate, cleanses, rinse, and dry you out of the things He shows you.

Then let the "heat" of the Holy Spirit mold or iron you into a greater intimacy with Christ releasing in you the fire of the Holy Spirit setting your heart ablaze for Him and His Kingdom.

As a result, He will say to you.....

Go..... for I have divine appointments waiting for you to

to share what I have imparted

into your heart and mind.

As you hold on to Me and listen to Me,

you will move

into a greater anointing of

hearing and seeing things

of heaven invading the places I send you.

Commit your everything to Me

by yielding

to what I speak and show you for you are

chosen as My servant.

Be be prepared

to walk sacrificially before Me

for

narrow is the road you will walk on

and

narrow is the gate you will go through.

But know this.....

the temptations will be great

aiming to mislead you.

and

pull you off course.

But the tighter you hold to Me and My Son

and

what We will reveal to you in the Word,

the greater Our anointing

will cover and lead you

in supernatural encounters

We have planned for you.

Stay on course,

walk in truth,

and

do not fear what you hear in the world,

for My Son and I have secured you in

Our Name.....

God the Almighty is with you!
